About Us
London International Chopin Competition was established in 2022 with the cooperation of Piotr Michalik, Director and Executive Committee Member of Ognisko Polskie, Artur Haftman, internationally acclaimed concert pianist and winner of numerous Chopin competitions, and Jenny Lee, Co - Founder and Director of SIMA Classics Masterclass and Education.

The London International Chopin Competition for Young Pianists is founded on the principle of supporting and nurturing exceptional young talent, irrespective of race, gender, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background. We believe that the pursuit of musical excellence should be accessible to all, and that true artistry transcends boundaries of identity and circumstance.

This competition seeks not only to provide a platform for young pianists to demonstrate their abilities at the highest level, but also to guide and inspire them as they take their first steps toward professional musicianship. By fostering an environment that encourages growth, discipline, and artistic integrity, we aim to support the continued development of the next generation of pianists and contribute meaningfully to the legacy of classical music — particularly the timeless works of Frédéric Chopin, whose music remains a beacon of emotional depth and artistic brilliance.

We extend our sincere and heartfelt thanks to our sponsors, partners, and members of the media, whose generosity, dedication, and professionalism enable us to fulfil our artistic and organisational mission. Their invaluable support affirms the importance of cultural initiatives that celebrate both excellence and inclusivity.
